Blind beggar Lena Sutton is granted the divine third eye of deity Dorian Vance, gaining supernatural sight. She sees through rigged dice at gambling dens, foils dealer Gus Rourke's cheating, and outsmarts ruthless proprietress Vivian Crowe's card tricks. Starting with nothing, Lena rises from a starving outcast to a gambling legend, winning half the gambling house's fortune and eventually surpassing even the glamorous owner herself.
