To get back at her cheating ex, Avery Melling lies and claims that the powerful tycoon, Brendon Shaw, is her boyfriend. Unfortunately, he overhears this and takes her home to marry him to lift his grandmother's spirits during a serious illness. They agree to separate once the elderly woman recovers, but as they spend time together, they gradually fall in love.
