Echoes of the Past

Jiang Yuan enters the palace to participate in the selection of concubines. Because her appearance closely resembles the emperor's past love, Yao Moxi, she becomes the target of Consort Shu, who secretly plans to eliminate her. Just as Jiang Yuan is about to be killed by Consort Shu's agents, the emperor arrives and saves her. It turns out that the emperor had long known that Yao Moxi was a pawn set up by someone with ulterior motives. However, he didn't know her purpose or the mastermind behind it.
