Elena, a forty-year-old diner owner drowning in debt for her adopted son Leo, endures endless schemes from his pregnant wife Amber and her mother Martha. After a one-night stand at a casino hotel, she discovers she's pregnant with the child of Dominic, a mob godfather told he'd never father children. Disguised as "Old Don," a broke mechanic, he silently enters her life — beating a loan shark senseless, handing her a catering contract behind the scenes, and destroying every trap Martha sets, all without revealing his identity. When Martha finally hires men to kidnap Elena, Leo wakes up and takes a knife for his mother. Dominic arrives with armed men, wipes out the kidnappers, and stands before Elena as the undisputed king of the underworld. He drops the mask — and asks her to marry him.
