From Blood Comes the Crown

Margot Kerr returns to the palace and is mistaken for a maid by the consort, Eva Hunt, who cruelly tortures her until the emperor intervenes. At a banquet, Eva accuses Margot of not being the late empress’s daughter and sets a trap. Using her wit and poetry, Margot proves her lineage, exposing Eva’s schemes and crimes. She is crowned Imperial Princess and is destined to inherit the throne.
