Vito, the Supreme Guardian, protected the world for ten years, only to be driven from home by his eldest son and treated like a prisoner. His second son Angelo, living in the slums, took him in and shared all he had. When Catalina, a close friend’s granddaughter, is targeted by the Shadow Group, Vito protects her but is dismissed for his age. Through a cruise ship attack, an island showdown, and a family feud, he repeatedly stops crises and terrifies powerful enemies. Catalina gradually falls for him. His family regrets their cruelty, and his enemies fall one by one. Yet Shadow Group remnants still lurk, and danger remains.
