Wang Yue and Li Chan were close dorm mates. After a night out, Li Chan found herself pregnant and, not wanting to ruin her graduation or future marriage prospects, asked Wang Yue to lend her ID to buy abortion pills. Out of friendship, Wang Yue agreed, but the pills caused severe bleeding, and Li Chan lost her fertility. However, at the graduation ceremony, when she saw Wang Yue and Wang Hui hugging, she accused Wang Yue of stealing her "boyfriend," sparking a conflict.
