Silas, the Federation’s youngest supreme mech commander, abandoned his rank and honors eight years ago to care for his depressed wife Vera, working as a full-time househusband and turning down multiple army recalls. He accidentally found Vera’s private post admitting her love for rookie mech cadet Warren and disdain for her domestic husband. Vera visited training grounds often, grew intimate with Warren, and even let their son mock Silas as cowardly.
