The Son's Regret and Revenge

The male protagonist, the world's top martial artist, unknowingly causes his father's death during a competition due to his trust in others. He becomes absorbed in his wife's family, neglecting his parents, and inadvertently misses his father's last chance for survival, leaving his mother devastated. At a celebration hosted by his father-in-law, he learns of his father's death and rushes to the cemetery, only to be prevented from mourning unless he accepts punishment for his past actions.
