Privacy Policy

This policy explains what ShortDramaWiki (shortdramawiki.com) collects when you use the site, why, how long it is kept, and the choices you have. The short version: we keep anonymous usage logs, we do not store your IP address, and we use Google Analytics and Google AdSense, which set cookies.

What we collect ourselves

We record page views, searches and clicks on outbound "Watch on …" links so we can see which pages are useful. Each record carries a session identifier derived from a daily salt, your IP address and browser user agent; the identifier changes every day and cannot be linked back across days. The raw IP address is not stored. We also keep the two-letter country code supplied by our CDN, and whether the request looked like a bot.

Search terms are stripped of anything that looks like an email address, phone number or URL before they are saved. Row-level logs are deleted after 13 months; only aggregated daily counts are kept beyond that.

We do not offer user accounts and do not ask for your name, email address or any other personal details, except when you email us (see Contact below).

Cookies and third-party services

Google Analytics. We use Google Analytics (GA4) to measure traffic. It sets cookies (such as _ga) to distinguish visitors and reports aggregated usage to Google. Google's description of how it uses data from sites that use its services is at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

Google AdSense. We show advertising served by Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.

You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings at https://adssettings.google.com. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising at https://www.aboutads.info/choices/.

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, you will be asked for consent before advertising or analytics cookies are set, and you can change your choice at any time through the privacy options link shown on the site.

Posters are served from our image CDN and pages may embed nothing else from third parties. No other tracking pixels or social widgets are used.

Outbound links

"Watch on …" buttons pass through a /go/ redirect on our domain so we can count clicks anonymously, then send you to the platform's own page. Once you leave shortdramawiki.com, the platform's privacy policy applies, not this one.

Children

The site is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Your rights

Depending on where you live you may have the right to access, correct or erase personal data about you, or to object to its processing. Because our logs do not contain your IP address or any account, we generally cannot identify which records belong to you; if you have emailed us, we can locate and delete that correspondence on request. Changes

We will update this page when our practices change and revise the date at the top. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
